Path Through the Prairie

There are two paths through the prairie from the upper 

parking lot at the church.  Each is about a 15-20 minute 

walk over uneven ground with some up and down hill

sections.  There is a wonderfully diverse display of prairie

flowers, and grasses to enjoy that is not evident from the parking

lot.  There are purple and yellow coneflowers, cup flowers, thistles, 

blackeyed susans, milkweed, and mature varieties of many kinds 

of grasses.  And something different may be blooming next month.

Pathways for Peace

A special award goes to Amy, Molly, Jack and Emily

for their welcoming invitations to friends and

neighbors to join in our youth activites--

JAM KIDS  and  youth camps

We have a good balance between activities that are

completely our own, and those that are

accomplished as partnerships with other--

Outreach International, Consultation of Religious

Communities, University Club Bridge, Camp Coralville, 

Scouts, and the Crisis Center.

Our outreach with the Peace of Jesus Christ

is in response to His love to us.

Meet the Whitmires

Meet the Whitmires: Jessica (Ritchie) Justin and Will.

They are coming to Iowa City from Lexington Kentucky.

Justin will be working in North Liberty. Will is 3 yrs old

and will be a big brother next month. They hope to meet

our church family on July 12th.

Will likes sliding

and merry go rounds

and swinging.

So far Will thinks he will like living in Iowa
