The theme for the year is STEWARDSHIP and in September, the focus was FRIENDSHIP.
At the beginning of a new school year, it is important to be aware of the feelings of friends and classmates. We made “friendship pins” that can be given to others to show that we care about them. The pins can be worn on shoelaces or placed on backpacks. You can look at the pin that was given to you by a friend and think happy thoughts about your friend!
We started by making Friendship Pins.

Then we gathered and had a chance to exchange pins with one another!
If you have brown eyes, stand up!
If you have a TV at your house, stand up!
If you are in first grade, exchange pins with someone.
We shared some ideas from this book.
