February 10, 2016 JAM Kids

Stewardship is a matter of the heart

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,
and with all your soul, and with all your mind.  Also, you should love your neighbor as yourself.      Luke 10:27

During craft time, we learned to make colorful paper
woven heart baskets - and tried to make as many as possible
so we could fill them to give away  and share with others.
Each child could bring home a finished basket,
as well as the pattern to cut out more.
All the gift baskets will be filled
with some valentine candy and a small "love is…"
card with a JAM Kids sticker on the back.

The story of The Good Samaritan

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,
and with all your soul, and with all your mind.  Also, you should love your neighbor as yourself.      Luke 10:27

The greatest commandment  is found in Matthew, but also in Luke.  As soon as you read in Luke that you shall love your neighbor as yourself, a man asks Jesus, "Who is my neighbor."  And Jesus tells the parable of The Good Samaritan.

And then we got to act out the story.

The story was acted out again!

On Saturday, February 13,
these JAM Kids visited people at Oaknoll.

Residents of the health care center
were happy to have visitors.

Dick got such good care at Mercy Hospital
that he got to come home!

The banner from JAM Kids is displayed
in the living room.
