JAM Kids - April 10, 2013
It was a night of growing and sharing our talents at JAM Kids!
Scripture Gems:
“Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth;burst into jubilant song with music.” Psalms 98:4
“Sing unto him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.” Psalms 33:3
Wood carvings from the Philippines.
We had fun creating a face and planting wheat grass “hair” in a cup. When the grass begins to sprout, remove the plastic wrap from the top of the container. Soon, the head will need a haircut!
A major project for the evening was cutting apart an old,
stringy-looking dieffenbachia plant.
Each child now has a piece to care for and to nurture.
Time for surgery!
PUPPETS
The puppets were busy today. Miss Kitty, who is quite self-centered, was practicing to present her talent. It was Hound Dog’s turn to clean the church, and nobody would help him, so he did it alone. Finally, Miss Lamb reminded everyone that we each have unique gifts. We should remember “The Golden Rule” and treat others the way that we would like to be treated. When we work together, our job becomes easier. Our world would be a wonderful place if all folks were peacekeepers like Miss Lamb!
Walking tacos for dinner!!!
This was a special "dinner theater" where people had an opportunity to share their talents.
Nathan played the piano!
Gavin showed his basketball dribbling skills.
Emma explains about her cartwheel and round-off.
Evan can "roll" his Rs.
Grace showed some of her art work.
She has lots of artistic talent!
Grant can make funny faces.
Madeline showed a gymnastics routine.
Mary is a trumpet player!
Ryan is full of tricks!
After playing in the gym, we had campfire.
