Celebrating the Birth of Christ

It was a cold and snowy Wednesday,
but we were warm and joyful at JAM Kids.

Our Fruit of the Spirit for December was an orange.

During Advent, we celebrate JOY in so many ways.

We are most especially thankful for the

gift of God’s son, Jesus Christ,

who came as a baby to show us

the true meaning of love and joy.

Scriptures for December

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.

—Philippians 4:4

But the angel said to them,

"Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy

that will be for all the people."

Luke 2:10)

The room is ready, and JAM Kids add a scripture
to their notebooks.

We cut out an orange for the Spirit Tree.

Story and Stickers
As some kids got into their costumes, others
were learning the story of the First Christmas by
adding stickers to their door hangers.

Margaret helps Keon with the story.

It has been our tradition for the JAM Kids to

dramatize the First Christmas each December.

Everyone has a part and a costume.

We have angels, shepherds, wise men, Mary, Joseph,

an innkeeper, Herod, a star bearer, and narrators.

The sanctuary is transformed into a stage, and we are the actors.

The Stable is ready and waiting for action!

Costumes are in place.
