 A Special Kind of Love

The winter sky is beautiful as we arrive at the church for JAM Kids.
Days are getting longer.

 Our schedule for the evening.

The puppet story was called “Rules of the House.”
Mr. Lion had put a whole list of rules on the refrigerator
that all of the others were supposed to follow.
They talked about the 10 Commandments
and the Bible story of the Pharisees
when they wanted to trick Jesus
by asking him which was the greatest commandment of all.

Jesus said that this was the most important rule in life:

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind, and you shall love your neighbor as yourself."

JAM Kids had an opportunity to create
Valentines for friends and family members.

After the puppet story,
O. B. Joyful shared the story of Bartimaeus.

A blind man named Bartimaeus spent his time begging
near the city gates of Jericho.   Nobody cared much about Bartimaeus,
but when Jesus came to town, the story changed.
Jesus set an example of care and love that changed the life of someone in need.   Can we do this, also?
Can we remember that each person is a child of God?

Scripture Gem:  “. . . Your cup of joy will overflow when you
love each other as I have loved you.”    John 15:11-12, adapted

Cup of JOY

 Add some love!

When LOVE is added to your life,
your JOY will bubble over!

And then, Yarn Scarves for our loved ones!

Grace, Grace, Maddie and Bev model some sample projects.

I'm in, I'm out, I'm up, I'm down,
I'm happy all the time.

 May God be with you,
And bless you Max.
