LOVE - TRANSFORMATION

 

It was snowing as we arrived.

Tonight's Dr. Seuss Story:

Sam is kind of an irritating fellow.  

He keeps insisting that our hero should try green eggs and ham.   

Sam will not take “no” for an answer!   “I will not try them, Sam-I-am!”

 Our Words for today were LOVE and TRANSFORMATION.

We began by adding those words to our signposts.

And then we "transformed" a sock 

into either a penguin or a snow person. 

 Room is ready

 Supplies are ready to transform

 There’s a lesson to be learned.  How often have we refused to try something new, just because we think we will not like it?   

How often have we
misjudged other people because 

of the way they fix their hair, or the color
of their skin, or the clothing that they wear?

If we really get to know others on the inside, 

we are likely to find something unexpected.  

Jesus serves as our example in so many stories from the Bible. 
The first men called by Jesus to be disciples were unlikely fishermen.  

Jesus spent time visiting with the woman at the well 

and her life was changed.  
Jesus could see into the hearts of others and to Jesus, 

all were worthy to
be called Children of God.   

Jesus was our finest model of love.

 We read in 2 Corinthians 5:17  

 “When anyone lives in Christ, the new creation has come. 

The old is gone! The new is here!”

Time to say "good night"

and pick up the things 

that need to go home.

Let love be genuine.  

Hate what is evil; hold fast to what is good.
