November 9th
JAM Kids meet for an evening of fun and fellowship.
The moon was shining on the church
as we arrived for JAM Kids.
Everything is ready.
Little Max brings his big brother,
but he does not get to stay!
JAM Kids add their November page to their folders.
Becky lends a helping hand.
And then the kids go to the sanctuary for more activities.
Allison helps with anything that is needed.
We each create a "Tree of Thanks" to take home.
Our Bible story focused on Zacchaeus.
Charlene was the first "Zacchaeus" and she collected taxes.
“The Man With No Friends” found in Luke 19
Zacchaeus was a little man.
Zacchaeus was a rich man.
And nobody in Jericho liked him very much.
One reason they did not like him was because
he got rich by taking money from other people
and giving it to the Romans.
He collected taxes, but he got rich
by keeping a lot of the money for himself.
One day, Zacchaeus saw a great crowd of people in Jericho.
They were following Jesus down the road.
Everyone wanted to see Jesus and to visit with him.
Of course, the people would not let Zacchaeus
to the front of the crowd.
In order to see Jesus, Zacchaeus climbed a tree.
The people were very surprised when
Jesus stopped at the tree and said,
“Zacchaeus, I want to go to your house today.”
His life was changed because of the love of Jesus.
Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus (Lily) so Zacchaeus climbed a tree.
Then it was Courtney's turn to be Zacchaeus.
