Journey With Jesus - JAM Kids

We have started our new season of JAM Kids!
On Wednesday, September 12, we began our journey.

 Our first stop is Africa.

Photos were taken for our passports.

Next month, the rest of the travelers will get their pictures taken.

First, each JAM Kid completed a passport.
The photos of their faces will be added next month.

Then, we made paper people in ethnic costumes
that they might see in Africa.

Each person began decorating a drum.

Then we used our passports to enter Africa.

Kelsey shared about her experience in Africa when she was a teenager.

Then Bibi shared about Jesus in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

And Micah told about his trip to Kenya.

We shared in prayer before going to dinner.

Food Choices included rice and African Chicken

Some kids preferred peanut butter and jelly.

We had cupcakes to celebrate Carolyn's birthday.

Games in the Gym

Maddie directed fun games with pool noodles.

This takes teamwork!

We tried to get water to flow through the noodles.
Not always successful!

Campfire Singing

Let's all get ready to travel
somewhere new next month!

June is a busy month!

Lots of things are happening in June!

First:   Be aware of Wild Parsnip

This plant is dangerous and it is difficult to keep it from our church prairiel

It is found along roadways and in gardens.

Wild Parsnip may look pretty in your bouquets, but DO NOT Touch it!
It causes a dangerous skin rash.
Be careful.

Kitchen Renovations have begun!

June 7 - The old cupboards are taken away

And plumbing begins
