February JAM Kids - All About LOVE

This is the month that everyone traditionally thinks of LOVE.

There are different types of love, of course,
and we are concentrating on AGAPE, or unconditional love.

This is the kind of love that is given with or
without benefit of return.

The highest type of agape love is the divine
love of God for his children.

God Gives the Great Commandment

Sometimes, it seems as though there are so many rules,
it is hard to know which ones are important.
In the time that Jesus lived on earth,
people argued about which rule is the most important to God.

One of the elders heard Jesus teaching his followers.
He asked Jesus,
“Tell me, which is the most important commandment of all?”

“There are two,” Jesus replied.
" The first is to love God with all your heart, with all your soul,
with all your mind, and with all your strength.

The second is to love everyone as much as you love yourself.”

The JAM Kids Arrive and begin their activities

Max helps his mother deliver his big brothers to JAM Kids.

We each decorated a large heart with "mosaic tiles."

And the sun was setting as we looked out the window.

THANK YOU TO OUR STUDENT LEADERS!

Allison shows patience and kindness.

Lily shows that love is "not easily angered."

Grant shows that we can act with love.
Even when the kids pile on top of him in the gym!

The JAM Kids had a great time together!

We watched a video of the book “Love Is . . .”
by Wendy Anderson Halperin.
Wendy Halperin as 'adapter' and illustrator
says that "how we respond to any person
... object ... situation ... is our choice ...
and we can choose to ACT WITH LOVE."

Saint Paul's familiar words from his first
Letter to the Corinthians date back to
56 A.D. yet never 'grow old'.

We share in prayer before we Eat Dinner

Our "Love Is . . . ." booklets

We LOVE GYM Time!

The JAM Kids enjoyed "free play" in the gym.
Lots of fun on riding toys, shooting baskets, climbing . . .

And before campfire, we did "Circle Round the Zero"

Campfire Singing

Lots of action songs!

"I Ziggy Zumba"

"Let me see your dirty diaper." What's that, you say?!

Who is a cockroach?

May God be with you,
And bless you Elizabeth and Madeline,
God be with you
And bless you every day.
